Privacy Policy
This page explains how catname.org handles generator input, uploaded images, local browser storage, basic analytics, and homepage live chat.
Last updated: April 13, 2026
1. Information You Provide
- One optional cat photo for a naming request.
- Optional text description and filter choices.
2. How We Use Inputs
Uploaded photo and text input are used to process your current naming request and return results.
3. Photo Handling and Retention
catname.org does not store uploaded cat photos on its own servers after processing. Your request may be sent to our AI provider to generate results.
4. Browser-Local Data
Shortlist items and session-related preferences may be stored locally in your browser to support product behavior across page interactions.
5. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Support Chat
We use lightweight analytics and diagnostics to improve reliability and product quality. If you use the homepage live chat widget, conversation content and related technical metadata may be processed by Crisp, our customer messaging provider, to deliver support. We design events to avoid raw image storage and to minimize sensitive free-form capture.
6. Your Choices
You can stop using the service at any time, avoid the homepage live chat if you do not want to start a support conversation, and clear browser-local data through your browser settings.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when product behavior changes. The latest revision date is shown at the top of this page.
